I don't believe he is stating the Nova is one of the 50 Gibb COPOs. Listing says it was an L79. What he is trying to say is that the Harrell VIN# with Matching COPO vin is the very next car to his, which is not the list. Can anyone shed light on the Harrell VIN sticker?

Well I don't think it was a L79 car either. In the 1968 nova the super sport package was only available with the L48 350 CI 295HP engine option. It was most likely a converted L48 car. I would like to see the date code on the BB heater core, that might reveal a time period when it was converted. I wonder if it has the 68 big block transmission cross member or even the nova BB core support.

I'm guessing he meant L78 and not L79. Is this a case where that sticker or piece of glass with the sticker ended up on that car from another car ? It is clear the vin on that sticker does not match the vin of the car.

Not a L78 car either has a 5000 redline tach. I'm not here to bash the car it looks solid. Just a lot of what ifs.
