Default Crashed '67 Chevy II Super Sport 327/4-sp...possible L79?

Judging by the seller's description I'm guessing this is NOT one of the few '67 L-79 Novas built. Still a once beautiful car that hurts to look at.

Default 67 l79...

Nice try...the 67 L79 Nova had a 327/325 motor...cast iron intake and QJ carb.
I think they made only 6 or 7 of them all together.

Lots of other real L79 cars [1966] out there to consider if that is what you want...the 67 units bring north of $100k if you can find one.

Hope the driver/occupants weren't whip-lashed too badly on impact. I watch my rear-view mirrors constantly when I'm in any one of my cars.

I'm curious here, the '67 Chevelle L79 HP rating was dropped to 325 but still used the 490 aluminum intake and Holley carb (3806) and didn't switch to cast iron intake and Q-jet 'till '68. So the handful of '67 L79 Novas went to the iron/Q-jet combo a year earlier?
I am not questioning anyone's expertise, just trying to learn.

There were a lot of variations in the 67-68 time frame for the L79...even though the Chevelle and Nova were rated 325hp in 1968....the Corvette was rated 350hp with the same setup.

Anyway...the L79 Nova for 1967 was a last minute engine option...all these cars were made very late in the model year. I have seen 2 real cars in my Nova Travels...rare piece indeed.

Thumbs up L79...

I was at the Nova Nationals in Belterra when Dan had the gold 67 there...it was and is a special car. It has been completely restored since then. Jack's car is a beauty...the attention to detail is amazing. Pretty sure Dan has that in his collection along side the gold car.

I doubt you will see two 67 L79 Novas side by side anywhere else
