That is a pretty neat old school street/drag car.

There's a time capsule of sorts. Pretty cool with that old teardrop scoop and a straight axle under it.

That looks like fun and it appears very solid. Love the vintage meats.

Default 1965 Mustang FB K code/427 straight axle

OMG! In 1993 I was working at a classic car dealership in Minneapolis just before I got married and was going to move to Seattle. One of the last things I did was look at a 1963 Galaxie for a man who wanted to consign it. Next to the Galaxie was a high sitting car under a cover, with some Vintage Americans and Goodyear Blue Streaks. After I looked at the Galaxie, I told him I'd waive my travel fee if he'd show me what was under the cover. THIS MUSTANG. The owner and his brother built it in '66/'68 time frame as I recall. It was a nice K code fastback and they had access to a wrecked Thunderbolt race car so they pulled the drivetrain out of that (now obviously if its a side oiler and a C6, that's not original Thunderbolt stuff). I tried to buy the Mustang from him a year or two later but he never returned my messages. It popped up on Ebay a while back though. The Galaxie also made an impression on me and after he consigned it, the next owner brought it back to the dealership where I then made a deal on it and shipped it out to Seattle 20 years ago. Its a factory 406/405hp car, and its why I go by tom406.
