ZL-1/L-88 Aluminum Heads 3946074 January 14th, 1969 Dated NICE!

This is a very nice pair of 3946074 aluminum heads for a big block Chevy engine. These heads were used by GM on the 69 ZL1 427, 69 L-88 427, and 71 LS6 454. This particular pair has matching date codes of 1/14/69 as shown. These would be great for an original ZL-1 or early second design L-88.

These heads are in good original condition. They are complete with valves, springs, retainer, studs, and guide plates. The part numbers, date codes, and all 4 winter's foundry marks are intact and undisturbed. All rocker studs bosses are in great shape with one that has been redone. There is no porting on the intake or exhaust ports. There is no evidence of explosions with one chamber having some nicks from a bolt or carb stud as shown. The heads have been surfaced and have been o-ringed as shown. These are simply a very nice pair of heads with near impossible to find date codes.

If you need a set of heads for a hot rod than these are probably not for you since a set with later date codes can be had for much less. If you need a set for a date correct restoration than don't hesitate to swoop these up.
