I still like my '95 K2500 6.5 diesel Suburban, especially with the brand new AM/Gen upgraded engine I installed in July. I just got 12 mpg towing the 24 foot trailer with my SD in it to upstate NY. That was 2 MPG higher than the old engine. :-)

I've been driving and towing with a Duramax 4x4 since 2008 and currently have a 2015 GMC 2500. I considered a Yukon recently but have decided to stay with a pickup when a new one is needed as I am not sure I could give up the diesel and all of the torque it has for towing. Throwing a topper on the back of an SLT or Denali 2500 is kinda like having the best of both worlds anyways?
