Default Interesting air cleaner tests for you day 2 guys

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ekps...ature=youtu.be

Note the results on the small diameter open element units and the old stand-by Fly Eye unit.

Great link Eric.

I never thought the fly's would be a power adder? Always liked the taller velocity stacks but never liked cutting holes so the only time I ever used one was in a V8 Vega I removed the hood from for a summer.

The biggest surprise for me was how the drop baskets with a good filter and a top breather robbed nearly 19hp horsepower placing 18th. I added one to a stout big block in my 55 so that it would clear the hood and swore it was the shiznit. Apparently Not.

I loved the flipped lid on the stock air cleaner. Brings back memories of that good old Quadrajet "MaaaaaaWOOOOOOOOO" sound coming from the 350 in my dad's 1974 Suburban when we'd flip the lid over and go out cruising.

And different gaping styles, like where the ground electrode goes only halfway over the center post, or side gapped plugs.
