quote from camaromb
I looked at this '69 Z 2 years ago. It has a drivers side spliced quarter, most of that side painted, getting crusty under wheel well trim, lower fender rusting through, bumped under rear bumper, missing spare tire/smog/carb etc. Neat car but it needs to be restored and at the time he wanted $100k. It survived 10 years in Illinois and then was stored, not pretty underneath!

----This car belongs to my neighbor. I have never seen it as we don't get along, but have heard about the prior work and deterioration from friends.......Bill S

I called last year and spoke with a lady (wife). Tried to see car but was difficult communicating a time. She mentioned they had a bunch of other cars.

Bodywork alone another 20-25k just to make it right. And his attitude leaves a lot left to be desired. buy it at 35-40 would probably come out alright.

Just by the looks of that steering wheel, the car has not been in a temperature controlled environment. I see mold, so there are moisture issues. No smog, front spoiler missing. The owner is not very engaging!!!!!
