Scheduling: "This is Kristen, how can I help you First Officer Molnar?"
Me: "Yeah, um, Hi. Listen, I know I have a trip tomorrow, but, frankly, I'm just too busy to come in to work."
Scheduling: "OK, call us when you're not so busy"
Me: "Great, thanks. Almost didn't have enoough time to make the call. I have two threads on Yenko.net I needed to update!"

HA! understood Mikey! Kelly says that's OK, cause as a Flight Attendant, she gets to screw with both of us!!!!

Here we are after I was able to break loose the two frozen wheels. Mud dawbers locked up the right rear and front left wheels! Headed to get temporary rubber put on so I can roll her up onto the lift. Oh, and a new hood and decklid (the only rotted pieces on this car!) so it'll be ready to go on the resto in another year after the Bee.

IIRC, they do not get the decal. What chew trying to do here, boy? Start one of them arguments??

Cheers

Nah!! That's doing it backwards! But you'll be happy to know that the one area that was severely rotted, the hood, was replaced today but I zapped out the support structure under the hood and saved the skin! That'll make some nice garage art!

Something unique I found is the Body Buck Tag. Attached to the radiator support with one sheet metal screw, it lists my VIN and options my car came with.

I was under the impression that these were attached after paint but before the engine bay was painted black. Well, after I soaked my tag in some general purpose solvent for a bit, I was excited to see a few "neat" things...

The tag shows clearly that it has the Highland Green paint on it, and this is actually a Mercury Door tag used as my Body Buck Tag!!!

The tag decodes to my car with the VIN listed, 63B is the Luxury Deluxe Interior, R is Highland Green, and 409 is the PB (paint/body) sequence/gate number. Line #2 has 6F, Saddle Interior, PB for Power Brakes. Next lines shows GT for the GT group, ST for the AM-8Track Stereo, and SC for Safety Convenience Group. The last line shows FDS which is the Fold Down Seat. The upside down 4 and H-2 maybe inspector's stamps

Apparently, the Detroit plant where my car was built was on a "recycling" kick, according to one book on the Body Tag subject for Mustangs, for a short period of time and they made the tags out of surplus door tags from the other makes. Cougars and Mustangs came down the same line. So how cool is that? WAY COOL!!!!

Cheers

New hood installed. Very happy with the alignment even though it's aftermarket. I pick up the Torque Thurst wheels tomorrow and then the car can get rolled onto the lift for storage. Then it's back onto the Bee
