Default Mecum in the transport business

I see that Mecum is offering its own auto transport services.

I thought Reliable was there preferred carrier - did something happen?

Yeah, Dana decided he needed to make more money. When Tom found out, he wasn't happy!

There's probably going to be a 15% commission for pick up, and the guy taking delivery will also be charged a 15% drop off fee. And if you want it dropped off at a "Featured Prime Time".... add another $1500 to that.

Cheers

Dave

I wonder how their rates will then compare with Reliable and TFX. I have used TFX on a number of occasions and have been very happy with both their rates and with their service. I do like that they MAT is supplying GPS links for their shipments so you can track progress of arrivals and departures.

Thats kinda what i thought, alot of money left
on the table as opportunity.

Trucks are big investments but he is generating
the demand etc.

Interesting. I guess it is worth the investment vs asking
for a % of what reliable delivers....

Dana moved John's red LS6 convertible from auction to auction before it was sold. I think it's a great idea to have some competition!
