Default Vintage Lakewood Square J bolt Traction Bars

Lakewood Traction Action competition J-bolt traction bars. These bars will fit 68 69 Chevy Camaro and Pontiac Firebird, also 68 69 70 71 72

Nova Omega Ventura Apollo.

Can easily be modified to work on 1967 Camaro and Firebird

The earlier square Lakewood bars were only manufactured in the 60’s up to the early 70’s. The Newer bars were rectangle shaped, making these square bars highly sought after for a period correct car.

As you can see they are in excellent shape, correct color yellow, complete with the hard to find wide saddle clamps & hardware.

Low starting price and NO RESERVE!

Good luck bidding.

Another great set of restored bars Rob. Judging from how well your last ones did on eBay, these should set the bar once again. GLWS

What's the story behind the short and long bars? These shorter ones appear to have an option to mount the j-bolts farther apart in the back.

Yes, I don’t know why that is. Pictured below is another early Lakewood traction bar that is different in that some of the holes are slotted along with the outboard holes. This one is for a Ford application,Rob.

I think the J bolts take the stress off the perch and the other holes can be used for the traditional U-bolts to clamp. That would be my take.

Can you measure the length of these? From some common point. like from the leaf spring bolt hole in the middle, out to the end of the bars.

Thanks!
