My Cuda seats took around 6 months to be made and shipped direct from Legendary. They have a big backlog of orders. They were worth the wait, though.
Before I actually ordered from Legendary I had found two different dealers, one that had the Legendary front white seat set and the other had the white rears. But everyone I spoke with said do not buy them "mix and match" because there are color variations between some order lots if there is any span of time bewteen when they were assembled. Since they were white, I did the wise thing and ordered them from Legendary directly so they would be made at one time from the same lot of vinyl material. I guess if you're looking for a black standard set of seat there shouldn't be aproblem if you can mix and match trying to locate the various Legendary pieces already made from different sellers. As for upholsterers in NJ, I have used Charlie at Custom Auto Interiors, 49 Morris Ave, Summit, NJ 07901-395 (908) 598-7410 over the years. It's an old time shop in a vintage store front. I haven't been there is a couple years so I dont even know if he is still in business after all this. The most recent time was when I had him replace a couple panels in the drivers seat of Gramma's Firebird using NOS SMS medium saddle colored material. The only problem we ran into was that SMS sold me canvas backed material in the exact NOS color and not elastic "naugahyde". Charlie spotted it right away and said the material they sent was the more rigid vinyl you use to make the rolled welting seams and not the actual stretchable stuff for the bolsters. He managed to get it repaired well regardless. Last edited by njsteve; 03-06-2021 at 01:01 AM. |

Kevin,
I know this might be a little too far for you, but Jerry at Masters Interiors in Newton, N.J. is the best in the Tri-State area. (973) 383-6622. His interior work has achieved plenty of awards. |

Thank you for that update Chuck. I am curious is the delay due to worker shortage or the materials held up in supply chain like the rest of the world?
