Default Sun Distributor Tester

I got a call last night from a friend who has an opportunity to buy a new Vintage Sun distributor tester.I know nothing about it at this stage other than he said there is no instructions with it and it has a 1959 date on it and a extra box of parts, etc for doing flat head motors he thinks.
He wanted me to ask if this is a collectable to anyone since he really has no interest in it from what I can gather.
thanks for the feedback. Joe

There's a *tad* bit of collectability with them, simply because they're old garage items...they don't command a big price, unless they've been restored, though...the strobes are prone to failure on these old units. Ask and see if he has the narrow Sun cabinet that it sets on also...

Not from what I have been told so far Rob.New as in NOS.Aquired for a repair shop years ago and never set up or used. When we spoke the other night he said all that was missing was the operating instructions. I will try to find out more tonight.
take care Joe
