Default '62 Fuelie Corvette, Interesting Color Combo

Neat car - Almond Beige with a Fawn interior. I didn't think I would like it, but I like it....

I really like that & I’m a huge fan of the obscure, overlooked colors and color combinations!

----Wow, Tony! this 62 is fantastic. My older cousin had an absolutely gorgeous girl friend in 1966 that owned a 62 Corvette in this color combo. It was a powerglide, but the interesting thing was that whoever ordered it new ordered the big tank option, which negated the convert top. Probably the strangest ordered 62 I've ever seen!
----Another odd coincidence is that my cousin owned a 66 yellow 427/425 Corvette convert at the same time. I noticed a twin to it pictured behind this 62......Bill S

Another Almond Beige with Fawn interior 1962 corvette from an NCRS meet I went to last year. Only 820 cars painted Almond Beige in 1962. You could get that color with Fawn or Red interior.

----You may be right about the interior choices, but I would be surprised if a guy couldn't order standard black. It was the default interior color for all the exterior colors, I thought. Just looked in an old Corvette Black Book and it doesn't even list Almond beige. Sure hope newer issues have amended that error!.…..Bill S

According to everything I have ever seen black interior was not available with Almond Beige or Fawn Beige. Never seen either color with black interior but you know how that goes back then anything was possible.
