Default Numbers in trunk rail ... 1969 Nova

Can anyone tell me what these numbers in the trunk rail of my 1969 Nova represent? THANKS

Looks like you have the original quarters. My 70 Nova SS also has a set of numbers which I suspect is the part number. Lets see what the Nova experts say.Bob

They are not VIN derivatives, they are model/series stampings, and may include plant and date coding.

I believe those are component part numbers from assembly, like the stamped number on the outer wheel housings near the shock, the under dash frame work, and so forth. My 69 Nova also has stamped numbers on the rear frame rails. I noticed them when it was on a rotisserie and the undercarriage was stripped clean.
