Exclamation New phone number for Vintage

I've been dragged kicking & screaming into the 21st Century--I now have a cell phone for the business.

The new phone number for Vintage Musclecar Parts will be:

(937) 836-1885

The new phone *should be* up & running tomorrow. The old number will still work, but starting in January all calls will be directed to the new #. Any calls coming to the old # will receive a message with the new #.

Please bear with me as I learn how to use this confounded contraption.

(In case you can't tell, I'm NOT a fan of such modern technology.)

I have a rudimentary knowledge of texting using Rachel's phone---but I am FAR from proficient at it--and as I detest texting, I do not plan to become proficient at it.

My admittedly curt and taciturn (but not specifically directed at anyone in particular) $.02 on the subject--it's called a PHONE for a reason--phones are meant to be used to CALL people and TALK to them. If I want/need to send someone a MESSAGE, I would far prefer to email them--and vice versa.

Been in the works for a while now but I kept (intentionally) finding a variety of reasons to postpone proceeding. Now that my new website is 99.9% done and should be ready to launch any day now (will make another post about that when it's up) , it was time to concede and accept another shackle of "modern" life.

Yeah, I know I sound grumpy...like I said, I'm no fan of such (invasive) technology. It's to the point where it's become a necessary evil, especially if you want to run a business.

Texting will grow on you Eric just give it time. I remember someone.........saying they would not sign onto Facebook as the hated that as well and now they are a frequent user. You will find texting to be the same way. You can ask someone a question or give someone an answer and get right to the point rather than having to go through all the b/s talking. As you know being in business does not afford us a lot of free time. You can also send a quick picture to someone and get an immediate response. Lets check back on this subject a year from now........

I still don't "like" being on Facebook--pun intended. It too is a necessary evil. You may notice my friends list is rather sparse, and the majority of those on it are "IRL" car friends and clients. FB is primarily a business tool for me, not a casual social one.

That aside, the new phone was activated this morning, so the new # is good to go. I'll try my best to get up to speed with this thing, but it's going to take some time.

This old dog ain't that good at learning new tricks anymore. :/

I am with you on texting, technology and FB. I have never logged on to FB, and don't intend to. So far I have not needed it for business purposes. I have had several clients indicate to me that they came to see me because another client gave me a glowing referral on FaceBook.

So.... are you Statler, or are you Waldorf?
