Thanks for the photo but not relevant if knowing if those tires are original as it is clear those are custom rims on your Olds.

Thanks Danny, these would be killer on my 1969 specific SS11’s!!! Someday.
No problem at all Ryan, I still have to take them off in a few weeks and sell them in the classifieds here and re-new my membership here too. Rough last month with Kidney Stone attacks and now that I am better very busy catching up with all my 1970 Chevelle clients etc...

Thank you guys for all the Info so far.

Yup -- wheels came from my wife's uncle ... tires are the original that were on the Olds wheels. Picture was taken in Feb of 70 as border indicates ... Craig

Ordered the car in Vietnam and it was delivered to Bob White Olds in Green Bay, Wi. in January. My wife and brother had it "broke in" pretty good when I returned stateside in February 69'. Craig

How about a 1969 Nova? Did they have these?
No. Chevrolet didn't use Polyglas in 69. There is a memo mentioning them later in the year and someone claims to have a orig. spare but overall the answer is no.

Post 69 Nova...

As mentioned...there were no raised white letter tire options for the 69 Nova. The Nova SS came std. with E-70 x 14 red-line wide-ovals...white-lines were optional.

One of those oddities: The Nova SS gets redline tires for 1968 and 1969. Then in 1970/1971 - whitewalls only. Finally in 1972 RWL tires become an option on the Nova SS.

Hi. I know my 69 Copo came with F70x14 Uniroyal whitewall tires when I bought it new. I tried to get the dealership to switch wheels and tires with the blue copo that was sitting beside mine as it had white lettered tires and rally wheels; they declined. I have always thought they were Goodyear Polyglass GT tires; is this incorrect? My 69 SS Chevelle documentation from GM says it came with white lettered tires so what would the correct tire be. Doug
