The 15x8.5 Americans would have been darn near perfect, except they have a 3.75" backspace so they won't fit the Chevelle.

The 15x7 and 14x6.5 Ansen wheels are awesome... thanks for posting! I could run them until I find a pair of 15x8.5's... and then move the 15x7's up front! They're cash in carry only... in Milwaukee. Hmmm

I run 15x7.5 w/3.75 bs ET IVs on my 69 Camaro. They're identical to Ansens. I have a set of Ansen 15x8.5 also that fit excellent. Personally, I like the fit of them better than the 4.5 bs. Here's what they look like on my 69. I find it hard to believe a Chevelle has less room. Have you tried one for fit? I do love the look of the Chevelle you posted!

No rubbing whatsoever, but mine does sit a little higher than a lot of others.

Thanks Dave. These 15x8.5" Torque Thrust wheels have a 3.75" backspace and they're very close to rubbing on the wheel lips. If they had any less backspace, they would definitely rub.

Those look perfect on your Camaro... great stance! Do your 8.5" Ansens also have a 3.75" backspace?

I see your point. Great looking Chevelle! Those are some nice fat back sneakers. The Ansens are also 3.75".

Anyone have a suggestion as to where else I should be looking for a set of Ansen Sprints? I've been searching Craigslist and watching eBay, but there aren't many that come up... and none so far in the 15x8.5" size and 4.25" or 4.5" backspace I need.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Helmut, I know this is anecdotal, but I have had a half-dozen sets of the 8.5" Ansens and all have been 3.75" backspacing. I'm guessing there were no backspace options.... Good luck to you.

Donnie White. 267-246-6903. Has the right tires to go with them too.

I have to eat some crow and correct myself. I double-checked these 15x8.5" Torque Thrusts and they do, in fact, have a 3.75" backspace and still fit.
Sorry if I misled anyone... besides myself!

The good news is that the 3.75" backspace is much more common.

Tony, do you happen to have even one of those half-dozen sets of 8.5" Ansens left?

Anyone have an icon for eating crow?

Bah, we all make mistakes.... That's great news for you though.
