Default Bumping An Ad - How To?

How does one bump an ad?

When I try to bump my ad after making a few changes to it, I am getting this message.....The following errors occurred with your submission:
The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 1 characters.

Enter one small dot like this . in the reply box.It will bump your ad too.
