Gotta check Craigslist! I love mid 70's big Kawasaki's. Thursday, I was sitting in a meeting and took my morning glance at CL and I almost had a heart attack. There listed for $500 was a '74 Z1 just rolled out of a barn. Looked all stock and unmolested. I know these bikes like the back of my hand and everything was there. The ad said it was put away in '80 due to a broken exhaust collar stud. Ran back to my office (didn't have my cell) after the meeting and it was sold. It sold in about 2 hours.

Was going to say the same thing - about a 1/4 mile longer should do

the early Camaro aftermarket Hurst shifter used a 2 piece welded offset neck vs the one piece stamped steel offset neck that came out about 1968-69 and is still used today
Charley there are some names in this article on the first Dana 427 Camaro. There may be a chance that some may have info on your car. Some may know the original owner if the cars were both raced back in the day. may be worth a shot to try and contact them http://www.hotrod.com/articles/amazi...vrolet-camaro/ |

Charley quick question, does the Z have the original wheels? If so do they look to have ever been painted? reason asked is I have two LA build 68 Camaros's both special paint one a SS one a L30 and both look to have painted rally wheels from the factory.

I have seen an original paint orange LOS '68 Z with RS equipment and body colored rally wheels. I think I have pics somewhere.

My dad had a 68 RS Z that was this color orange. It still has its original paint. It has torque thrust wheels on it but the original rally in the trunk was orange. I'll see if he can dig up a few pictures.

I am trying to understand what is being discussed - these body colored Rally Wheels as I have never heard of them or seen them. I have a question . . .
Was it only 1968 special paint cars that could get them from the factory? |

I believe some of the Grabiak Chevrolet special-paint '68 Zs had body color rallys as well.
