Helmut, being very familiar to the St. Paul cruising scene in the 70's especially Snelling Ave and also Viking Chevrolet, I will certainly keep my eyes open for you. I can honestly say I do not recall seeing an L89 Chevelle matching that description back in the day but maybe it was gone from the area before I started cruising (1975 and later). You might try posting photos and information on both of those FB sites as lots of people have come forth with information on cars since I have been a member. I will also look for anything on my CD's but again do not recall seeing that one. Good luck sir!

I'll definitely check out those Facebook sites! Meanwhile, can you please keep my Chevelle in mind as you sift through local Minnesota racing and dealer information.
Did your car have a black vinyl top? A class mate of mine owned one in 1971-2.

Helmut, just got through my second CD with LOTS of race results and cannot find any with the names you mentioned. I would strongly suggest getting in touch with Dave Young on the site as he seems to know everyone from back in the day. He was a very successful drag racer running a Torino in the day but is still sharp as a tack. Check with him.

Larry Myers set the C/MP record at Minnesota Dragways at the KDWB Radio Drag Meet in either 1972 or 1973. Does anyone have photos or literature related to this car at that event? Thank you

Default You Tube Videos

There are some vintage videos from the Minnesota and Twin City Dragways and others. You may want to look through the see if your car appears. I did notice a 1967 Impala 10:19 into this video.

Third owner of the car was Tom Moldenhauer, also of St. Paul, MN, but unfortunately, he died in 2014.
Fourth owner believed to be Jerry Altman, also of St. Paul. Or, maybe Gerald Altmann, Jerry Oltman, etc. - not sure of spelling???

First owner's family is searching through photo albums and files to find any links...

Thanks to all for help.
