Heated Seats....
My 2004 Chevy Suburban has developed an annoying gremlin...the heated seat function comes on by itself
It constantly keeps going on and off as I drive...while I appreciate the extra warmth on a frigid day, regular driving is pretty tough. Thought perhaps some of you have seen this before...online info is a little confusing, but it appears to be not an uncommon problem. It is only the driver's seat that has the issue. Any guidance will be appreciated... -warm wilma

does it do it even when the switch is off? I would guess there is some type of voltage controller that controls the heat levels. just a guess.

Tom,my 2006 Silverado does the same thing,it's very common.ive researched this an no one I can find has a fix. I worked as a service advisor at a gm dealer, when I asked our drivability tech,he laughed and said good luck.He told me
they replaced every single piece related to the heated seats on a lot truck and they still had a mind of there own

Have had the same problem with my 2003 Yukon XL, on line info not helpful. I did replace the switch with a new one and it made no difference. However for the past two years it has worked fine.
The problem is covered in the Technical Service Bulletin: HPFM (Hocus Pocus Fu%king Magic) as are most electrical issues.
