Default 1979 Monte Carlo 4 speed

Just have a few final items to finish up on my Monte, was born with 4.4 2 barrel and turbo 200 trans and junk small 10 bolt. Swapped in my motor and trans from my 1979 Z28. Rebuilt the motor and gave it a little more compression and cam. This build has been on the radar for a long time, took 10 years to find all of the NOS GM 4 speed parts. Also put a 9" in with a 3:70 posi. The car is not restored, just built to a clean factory looking driver.

Very nice "something different" car. That should be a lot of fun to drive.

That is Awesome! I love those late-70s / early-80s Malibus and Monte Carlos.

Man that takes me back. I love it. The rallys really do it justice. I think you'll be able to embarrass quite a few unsuspecting challengers with that.

Agree. On the right car, I am one of the few that actually likes the 6-hole 1971-1979 era rally wheels.
