Below are pics of 1st design and 2nd design lug nuts. I believe 74Z28 still had 1st design.
Not sure when change over occurred. Many owners back in the day must have bought new lugs over the counter as OEM/Assy line lugs got abused.
Vast majority of owners dont know the difference. Camaro Nationals 2nd Gen Judging is ONLY show I know of where these would be judged or looked at.

2nd Gen Z28 trim ring lesson pics while I was taking pics from my Photobucket

AMES Pontiac parts site sells a repro of the 2nd design that is very acceptable and affordable for all but the most
fussy owners........I've never been told why AMES didnt reproduce the very hard to find FIRST DESIGN

And it started @ $175,but had a BIN button for the $1,150 price.
Lasted 1 day, before one person bought it now.

Mr 70/R.P. , In that EBAY ad, can you SEE where those lug nuts were in fact First Design as Ive shown above....

I'b be very interested to see the quality of car that they went on...

These are so rare .....I may be wrong, but not sure if any 70+ Camaro has ever
gone thru CAMARO Nationals Judging with "Born With" correct LUG NUTS.

Found 2 more! one is in poor shape, other in as nice ,if not nicer, than the lower 2 in pic. so buy the one nice one @ $25 and get the other free. Buy all 5 and save $10, $85
Get three nice, one usable but dented and one that is usable but weak threads. Basically 3x$25 + 1x$10 + 1 free. includes ship
