Great shots, Dan! (as usual). Was great hanging with you.

This was another outstanding Mecum Auction. Lots of great deals and many of the better cars drew serious money. We distributed over 1,000 MCACN magazines and hundreds of magnets and postcards. Great to get much more recognition and lots of great feedback on the MCACN show, and less explaining that we are NOT the Chevy Vettefest!

I had the honor of driving Mike G's 1970 W-30 442 across the block, where it found a new owner, along with Mikes GTO and LS6 Chevelle &quot;Red Cover Girls.&quot; I was told that these cars will be staying togteher, as one bidder purchased all three.

Stefano also found new homes for several cars from the Nickey Chicago inventory.

Congrats to all who succcessfullly sold, those who successfully bought and also to Dana and his crew for hosting another outstanding event.

I am hoarse from talking about MCACN so much. Was great to see many old friends and make some new ones that I will again see next month.

Next up...MCACN 2012!!

The boys at Mecum did another fine job. The auction was an excellent experience as always. I did not see as many super high caliber cars as experienced at previous Mecum auctions. However, I enjoyed seeing many of the bread and butter cars many of which were presented nicely. I was particularly taken with the 1970 442 W-30 auto in Twilight blue. I thought it featured one of the finest restorations I observed at the auction.

I enjoyed seeing Stefano’s black &amp; white 1970 W-30 4spd from Nickey Chicago. It is such a great original car. What a neat car in unbeatable colors with bulletproof Canadian documentation. It is an excellent candidate for a complete concours restoration. I had a chance to hear the car leaving the auction house. It sounded fantastic out the rear exhaust pipes. What a radical beast it was! The good doctor sure knew how to build those cars! The featured 1970 red LS-6 Chevelle was also another great car.

Overall, I thought prices were strong on the top-level cars considering the current economic conditions around the country.

Well done Dana…I am very much looking forward to Kissimmee, Florida. It looks like January 2013 is going to be a great month of car auctions. RM

Thanks for the positive feedback. Mike's former red post and the 1970 442 W-30 auto in Twilight blue were awesome. The Blue W30 was purchased by a dealer for resale.
