Default 2002 Z06 brakes

OK, need some help from some of you C5 Corvette afficianodos.

Son in law (he is almost good enough for my daughter) has an 02 Z06 with 38k miles, and it is about time for brakes.

They are not the same on the Z06 as for the base Corvette are they?

Prices for pads and rotors vary wildly.

Lynn:

I am definitely no expert but from previous threads concerning brakes it seems the concensus of opinion is to use the original manufacturer's (Chevrolet) parts and not go 3rd party. It saves troubles going down the road.

Has he gone to his Chevy dealer to get a quote?

Lynn I believe the only difference is Z06 has red calipers versus bare cast aluminum wasn't till the C6 that the brakes got really good
