Default Yenko/ LT-1 Carb on e bay

Looks like a nice carb for a 70 4 speed LT-1.

I bought a may dated 4490 from this seller. He restored the carb for me and shipped it for $550.00. It runs and looks great. Just had to rejet for more HP. Earl

The Camaros at Carlisle/American Camaro Assoc 2nd Gen judges have concluded that there are several documented examples of July 70 Z-28's (LT-1 eng) having February 70 4555 Hooly carbs. We can not explain the time frame difference. We can only suspect that Holly produced a LARGE quantity of 4555's early for Z-28's in advance of speculated orders.
I would be interested to know how 4555 dating and Yenko Duece LT-1 engine dating compares ?????

All Deuces with their original carbs are dated very close to the build date of the car - within 2-3 weeks. So, no large carb date vs. car date span within the deuce build weeks of 05D, 06A & 06B.

Chuck, My car has a 3rd week of Feb 4555 and the car is a 04B so that works out to be about 7 weeks using a 1970 calender.

So then the dates on these 2 carbs really aren't correct for a Deuce, being built 2 months earlier than the first run of Deuces.
