I can remember being at Island Dragway in NJ around 1973. A friend had a 67 GTO that ran very well. He got dusted in the money round by one of those SC/Ramblers. We never let up on him for days after. With some tweaking they ran pretty darn good

The return of AMC was in Hot Rod but was a April Fools joke. Nice drawings however

Speaking of quality in AMC products, read the article in "Confessions of a Musclecar test driver" They test an AMC in it, did not go well

Randall also made a Jeep CJ5 with an AMC 401 in it! Been looking for one of those for years now.
