Default Chevy Interior terms

As we all know the car compani es were all about " Space " in the late 50's/60"s. Fins, Chrome rocket hood pieces etc. I wonder if that influeneced Chevy to use terms like " Astro Ventilation " or " Strato Bucket Seats " Splain Lucy ???

My guess is that this was the timeframe of all the Apollo launches and GM used a play on words of sorts. Lots of media coverage and probably relatively new terminology to the gerneral public of the layers of the atmosphere, and space objects i.e. Stratosphere, Asteriods etc. Thats my story and I'm sticking to it.

I'll definetly agree that the space age and it's terminology influenced many product names from TV's to automobiles.

Funny how "Astro Ventilation" is now so RETRO, it dosen't seen that long ago that it was new
