I have internal engineering documents dated Feb 29, 1968 showing the following aluminum 427's equipped with sleeves:

19950-17-A (first development engine, installed in Corvette 78027 for F.I. development)
19950-17-J (Laguna Seca race and Riverside Practice, #3, #4, #6 resleeved and machined)
19950-17-K (ran LeMans for 14 hrs, approx 1000 miles, showed gasket burning on #1 cyl)

Not sure how these numbers correspond to the ones listed above, but I believe these were development blocks.

I will take some pictures tomorrow and post them. Guinn was convinced this was one of the early experimental blocks because of the crude casting and no numbers anywhere. Not quite sure what happened to him. Also, the fact that it was a dry sump block with the fuel pump boss and liners. Will post pics tomorrow!
