Default Vintage Edelbrock & Mickey Thompson Valve Covers

It has been brought to my attention that the vintage Edelbrock valve covers were made by Mickey Thompson and there were apparently two different versions available back in the day. The late 60's early 70's vintage BBC Edelbrock valve covers had a flat machined surface area along with the finned edges resembling the M/T valve covers and the early 60's version were similar in appearance but did not have the flat machined surface.

Does anyone know if this is correct and if so were there different part numbers for the different versions of valves covers or did they have the same part number but it was just their appearance that changed?

Hopefully someone can confirm.

Thanks!

----The Edelbrock valve covers I put on my 66 427/425 Corvette didn't look like any of the above. The ends were much more rounded and there was no blank pad. They must have sold at least 2 different styles?.....Bill S

----The fins were also a bit fatter and definetly taller

Still searching for the information. Does anyone have the Edelbrock Equipment catalogues from the 67-70?

Find an engine shot of the Bardahl '67 Dana Camaro #1. It has the original rounded Edelbrock's with the curved script. They looked a little like the Cal Custom shape, rounded on the ends.

EDIT:
