Default 69 BBC Temp switch

Can anyone post a picture of what a 69 BBC temp switch looks like ? For a idiot light car W/O gage package. And what the terminal should be.
I checked Lectric Limited and they do not carry this switch.

Mike,

This is an older BBC Temp Switch, not sure if it`s NOS? I know "Ground Up" & "The Parts Place" sells these. Not sure if they look just like this one, as they have a few different reproduction supplier`s.

Dan

I have been doing some digging around and the one you posted looks an after market piece.

LQQKY here

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/_W0QQcmdZ...RKQ3aMEWAXQ3aIT

This one replaces GM 1993396 listed in the 1969 Camaro A.I.M.

So I am still curious if a assembly line one is brass ? Someone must have an OE one ?

Thanks

I wouldn't call the one in that picture an aftermarket part as much as I would a later generic service replacement to the GM 1969/70 assemby line #1993369 sender.
This is one of the misunderstood details out there today,as some assume it's their assembly line sender, when it really isn't.
To be considered assembly line correct, you want the brass one to the far left in this picture,AC #1513130-push on pin,(not screw on),and rated at 248 degrees, from Lectric Lmtd.

Rick
The info you posted is good, however those are all "Sending units" that send a variable resistance output ( a thermistor) to a gage.
1993369 is a temp switch only, it is either open or closed to ground the red idiot light. I checked with Lectric Limited and they do not make a temp switch.
The photo I posted and the one Dan posted, I do still believe those are older after market switches made of steel and zinc plated.
I am going to assume that a OEM switch would be brass like the senders are and would most likley look the same.

Mike

Good info Rick. Do the repro wire harnesses accommodate the correct sender?
