Default Lakewood 4 point 1st Gen. Camaro

1st, let me take a moment to thank Darrell Cook for this deal coming together. A fine upstanding "brother" in the hobby. Darrell and I run across parts and, if interesting, we share with each other what we find. This roll bar is a bitter/sweet deal. Darrell wanted it, but was unable to get help in transporting this bar closer to him. Funny thing is, I ran across this same bar a few weeks earlier and dismissed it because of the long distance from me. I assumed it was long gone, as well. When Darrell told me how he was trying to get this bar, I commented, then, of my surprise that it was still available and how I had run onto the same item earlier. Darrell finally said he could not find transport and I should get it, if I still was interested. The guy (and I have run across many lately) seemed flaky as he did not answer questions and would not take advance payment. I got a little nervous that I would not follow up on this and let it slip through or slip on by, since I was not getting cooperation from the seller. So I get up yesterday with a wild hair up my butt and called and asked if I could pick up this part. I must have a loose screw and taken leave of my senses (many here could say the same and have done the same), but I drove 3 1/2 hours to Northern Ohio for this and a pair of matching Lakewood slappers thrown in for good measure.

Very cool. I just got one off a member in California and had it shipped across the country through Fastenal for a mere $85. In case anyone doesn't know about this, Fastenal will ship store to store in their own trucks as a 3rd party haul and they do it for far less than any commercial carrier. I think they do this to offset their fuel costs and they have stores "everywhere".

Cool deal, the traction bars are Competition Engineering, they still make them so the hardware is still available for Jegs and Summit.
