L78 Nova..
Yes, it is correct...there were no L78's in 1972. But, this looks like a very nicely done car. If it has a correct drive-line, front to back and a nice paint job it is worth some money...to build a high quality clone he probably started with a real nice survivor. When you add up the cost of mechanicals, paint and body and all the extras... it's not hard to spend well over $30...of course the finished quality is hard to figure from the photos...take a look and make the guy an offer.

More like a "what if" car. 1970 was the last year for the 396 in the Nova SS.
I guess he wanted the Q-Ship look with no emblems (SS or 396) but went with an SS hood. No redlines in 1972 (1969 was the last year). 1972 was the first year RWL tires were available on the Nova SS though. One of those "mysteries." Why did Chevy wait until 1972 to make them available on the Nova SS? That price is ridiculous BTW. As Charlie has said - "there must be 20 grand in the glove box" to justify a price like that for a car like that. Last edited by Lee Stewart; 09-08-2017 at 06:51 AM. |

I can't bring myself to use a set of those repop door panels. Originals were flatter at the top and those look to"puffy".
