Default Free Wheeling Towing Hubs

These were used to tow your drag car to keep the gears from turning while towing to the strip. I got these with a 69 Camaro I purchased in the 70's, I thought someone might have use for them. If interested make me a reasonable offer. Attached is a pic.

I remember the summer of 70 A friend of mine had a pair of hubs. He had and still owns a 57 Chevy that had 5.67 gears in it. We towed from Burlington Ia to Keokuk Drag strip some 25 miles. We got to the strip pulled the hubs off and put the 8" slicks on. Made one pass and sheared all the lug nuts off on the passenger side. We never used them again!! I don't know if it was a fluke or what.
