Default red interior

A friend and I are working on a 1970 chevelle. The original interior is red. Should the seat belts be red or black?
Thanks

Default Re: red interior

The standard seat belts for a 1970 Chevelle with Red Interior are Black webbings with black plastic covers that say GM in them.
The Upgrade is the Red webbings with the Brushed metal Buckles that say GM in them.
Regardlesss of Color, bench or bucket seats, when these cars got the upgrade Deluxe Seat Belts,They were always Brushed Metal buckles and the Belt and retractor nearest the door received a smaller Female/Male Buckle then the rest of the belts in the car. This started with the 1969 cars and up.
I have an extra set of full Red 1970 Chevelle bucket seatbelts, but they are scarce so the price reflects this.Dated 35th week of 1969.
You can click on my profile to see the red belts in my Chevelle Homepage.
Are these for dickF on TC?
