----Paul,,, I think you have that 771 figure for 396's in 65 mixed up with 65 fuelies as that is the exact number of fuelie Corvettes built in 65. They didn't have a 396/375hp Corvette in any year.......Bill S

Wish the 311 '69 Acadian L78's was a true # but it's not.
Isn't 311 the same # knocked around for years as '69 L89 Camaro production?
Good stuff otherwise Paul!

Default Depends

The 5262 is an exact number from GM records. The line also states includes Acadians.
It all depends on whether the 4951 number is accurate for L78's, that is posted all over?

The 1965 Z16 Chevelle Malibu SS 396 is not an L78. It's a one year only L37. It has hydraulic lifters not solid like the L78

First one should be Full Size not just Impalas. You could get the L78 in either the Bel Air or the Biscayne also.

Again the L78 was not used in the 1965 Z16 Chevelle

It can be noted that Chevrolet, with the exception of the 50 specially built 1968 L78 Nova Super Sports sold by Fred Gibb Chevrolet, did not offer an automatic for any of their solid lifter cars until the 1969 model year.
