Default BFG tires

I realize this will probably cause a "crap" storm -- but the question is ... why are so many "ate up" with BFG tires? The tread design, etc. is over twenty years old. There are much newer tire brands with updated design, etc. Just sayin' ... TAZ

"There are much newer tire brands"...

Are there? In 15 inch? Cooper (Mickey Thompson), maybe General. I've been looking for something in a 15 inch. The Firestones on my 71 Corvette (225/70R15) are no longer made. I wish someone would make a modern 15 inch tire for guys that like the look of a normal sized sidewall and not a rubber band around a wheel. My next wheel purchase will probably be a 17 inch so I can use a modern tire. Yeah, I agree, BFGs 15 inch radial is a tired (haha) design. But few good options.

Don't get me started on aftermarket wheel backspacing.

BFG's are the easiest way to ruin the looks of an otherwise stock restored musclecar IMO. Get some repro tires and complete the look.
