Default 70 Nova Bench Seat - Adjustment

Just got a 70 Nova.
The bench seat wont go back far enough.....my knees are almost hitting the steering wheel.
Before I remove it to look - are there multi mounting holes in the seat track so I can remount the seat to the track to position it farther back?
Thanks All

If it helps -- on my 71' there are only one set of bolt holes ... TAZ

Nope only 1 set of holes. You can make a plate for each mounting hole to extend the tracks back. But on a nova as you go back you go into the rear floor pan slope.

Also -- the seat belts attach points may become an issue ... TAZ

Thanks all.
Yes - I was looking at the outside seat belts....it would be close but I think they may clear.
A friend has the same space problem in his '70 Nova.
Weird - every other "compact" car I ever owned that had a bench always had plenty of room.....Dart's, Duster's etc.
I'm going to remove it and have a good look.....

Nope, one set of holes and minimal adjustment - bucket seat mounting isn't much better (might even be worse!)

If you're good at fabricating you many be able to relocate the seat mounting points by reworking the tracks. I modified my bucket seats to add two inches to the rear by taking it from the front of the tracks. Cut and weld. Floor mounting is the same, but your seat is further back and dropped down a bit lower for head room. Very hard to notice, but the extra room made a difference.
