Default 14" Open element filters

Where is a good source for a 14" open style air filter for an every day driver? I've been buying a certain three letter brand (starts with an S and ends with a P) for years that was great, but today I went to get one and it's 1/2" smaller in diameter with a lot less paper that was made in China. I know about the reproduction filter but would like to find one that fits and doesn't cost $15.00.

Thanks. I'll check to see if those are available here and how they look and fit.

If the local parts store/houses don't have one try and find a local AC Delco dealer as the modern version
A212CW is still sold for around $10 I think. They are also available on Amazon for that price as well.

I bought a case of 14" square mesh on the bias "Best Way" AC A212CW reproduction air filters 20 years ago from a supply house that soon went of business. These replicate the original real nice & have never been used,as I've been holding onto em as spares.
I have one in my Chevelle, kept 4 more and sold the rest off years ago.
If you want to be a little more then STP generic with assembly line correct wording & mesh,I'll sell one to you for $30 + shipping.

Thanks for all the help. The AC Delco would be my first choice. I'll look to see what I can find locally.

The AC 212CW and Wix equivalent both fit well, but the AC looks a little better.

The last time I bought AC filters they had so much oil on them that they looked used. I guess it's time to look at AC again.
