Default SS 396 Camaro my friend Hasse is working on

I visited Hasse in Hyltebruk yesterday and looked the 69 Camaro another friend of mine told me about some 6-8 years ago. Can´t remember exactly when and can´t find any pics from it when found. It was sitting in a field behind a barn just 3-4 miles from where I live. I was told it was not for sale but I wanted to have a look anyway. It had a 350/350TH combo and a 10-bolt when found but the X66 code and single 3/8" fuel line made me interested. It also had a fold down rear seat from a 68 in it.
I told Hasse about it and he wanted it for his Yenko-block ZL-1 he was going to build. So after some negotiations he could bring it home. And with the help from friends like Lennart in Kinnared he got the body restored and painted some five years ago. This is going to be a driver so it is not treated to a concours restoration I might add.
Then the project was sidetracked and he bought several other cars that he liked, a 1967 Impala, a 1969 SS 350 Camaro and a 1970 Skylark GS 455 clone. All convertibles.
But now work on the SS 396 Camaro has begun again with help from Mikael, another friend. Some pics:

The NCRS documents show this SS 396 as being ordered by William Pape Inc, Huntington, New York. That would be the North side of Long Island.Dealer code is 208 in zone 27.Official production date is 03/31/1969 (12437N6229XX. Bodytag reveals: #291942, TR 712, 71 B, 03D and X66.
So as you can see it is not being restored back to the way it came from the factory. Hasse wants to personalize the car as if he had been able to order it himself back in 1969. With the NOS Yenko-block 427 in the car it will be a tribute to Yenko.
Early on we believed this to be an L-78 Camaro, for several reasons, but it is not. Hasse told me it was factory equipped with A/C, so therefore we can now rule out the solid lifter.

The ZL-1 engine that was put in the car after the bodywork was completed, was pulled last year since we had doubts about the enginebuilder. He built a 400 for my 1971 Le Mans, but it was a disaster. The ZL-1, that was never started, will now be built again by my friend Nova-Anders. He accompanied Syclone-Robban when Mr. Syclone toured the USA some years ago with his world record AWD 8-second Syclone. Anders knows for sure how to put that beast together.

Here are some pics of the engineblock that I took today. Can the blocks productiondate be determined by the numbers on it ?

I found two of these inside the block. Is there any reason to remove them ? If so, how would it best be done ?

Are there any numbers stamped on the front of the block ? I have the most comprehensive records on the Yenko blocks. Reference my book " The Yenko Era. ..continued. Canonsburg and Beyond "

Are those threaded rings inside the water jacket?

Hi Markus, the block has not been stamped anywhere. It has the casting# 46053Y and the number 07234 cast into it, and that´s it.

Yes they are Steve.
I´m thinking maybe it from the beginning had threaded aluminum plugs like this block has. And if they protruded enought into the waterjacket that would be what´s left after having drilled them out.

What type of plug do other Yenko-blocks have ?

This is what it looked like 15 years ago when Hasse brought it home.
