Default 71 Z28's History

I bought in 02 a Copper 71 Z28 from San Antonio ,Texas. Has 1 exterior re-paint & i just pulled out of storage a few months ago so i can start my resto & noticed i can faintly see through the quarters what appears to be old lettering. What i can make out is _ _ _ CKS AUTO * SPEED SHOP & i can read CONVERSE ,TEXAS.Car also has a sticker that say's Len Little, Universal City. Can anyone possibly fill in the name of the speed shop or have any info on Len Little. Thanks Jeff

Wow ,150 views & nobody possibly from the Converse, Texas area remembers a Copper 71 Z28 Race Car with lettering on it. Should i have started the thread as , Attention All Texans?

Well, if I was to make a guess, CHUCKS or CHICKS would fit.

CKS is a famous race team out of San Antonio, they raced one of the 3 fastback novas with a Z11 engine in it. I don't have a pic handy, but I know someone does.

Jeffrey - suggest you post a photo (or two) to pique our collective interest. That may help you. Sounds like a neat car.

I'm in San Antonio quite a bit, but I don't know anything about the car or the shop. I'll say that that's a strong military base area. Chances are very good that the car was owned and raced by an Air Force guy.
