Re: 1970 LS6 eBay - Thoughts?

[ QUOTE ] He definitely needed to take pics in the daylight, can't tell much about the paint in those pics. Plus darkness doesn't do Fathom Blue justice. Too many repop parts for what should be a high-dollar car. I love the cheap parts store radiator cap If you can get it cheap for a nice driver or have the money to gradually make it more correct w/NOS parts it wouldn't be too bad. [/ QUOTE ] Rad cap - I know! I see those on high dollar restorations sometimes too... drives me nuts. [/ QUOTE ] The special rare Selling Dealer installed red cap! |

Re: 1970 LS6 eBay - Thoughts?
Nice to see it did come with the sold new in Calif.NA-9 Calif. emissions charcoal cannister.
I agree that he really should take better pictures,as his pics don't do that desireable color combo justice. If you want to get technical, the AM/FM 8tk stereo wasn't really the most expensive option for the 1970 Chevelle. It was actually 7th on the list as it cost $372.85,trumped by Air Conditioning at $376.00. Next was RPO Z-25 SS 396 equipment which included the L-34 396(402)/350HP engine at $445.55,then RPO Z-15 SS 454 equipment which included the LS-5 454/360HP engine at $503.45. But then you could add on to each of those, like the L-78 396(402)/375HP engine @ $210.65,but that needed to be added to the Z-25 SS equipment of $445.55 making it a $656.20 option. And the LS-6 454/450HP engine was an extra $263.30,but you had to order the RPO Z-15 SS 454 equipment to get it,making the actual LS-6 option cost $766.75. To top all those,L-89 Aluminum heads included on a L-78 396(402)/375HP block,(of which 18 buyers opted for),were $394.95 extra and had to be included with the Z-25 396 equipment too, making that the most expensive option of $840.50. |
