Default I.D. this bar?

Can anybody tell me what this bar is called? Used for?
It supposedly came off the rear of a 1969 Chevelle COPO drag car. Some kind of stabilizer/sway bar I'm guessing.

Would the mounting points need to be welded to diff and frame?

Anybody have any pics?

That's what I thought...

Or maybe a diagonally mounted rear brace?

If it was a drag car (or any other type of race car) its hard tellin' what type of rearend mounting was installed. If it was a stock setup -- panhard/track bar was not needed ... maybe that bar didn't even come from car in Q ... TAZ
