Post What are they worth?

Got a guy that wants to trade me these two cars for my (small older) yacht plus 10k his way (from me to him) or one of the below and 15k my way (from him to me). Yacht is solidly worth in the mid 40's, but as with all boats, hard to sell.

Without plenty of pics and details its hard to get detailed on worth, just wondering if there's a general feel and range on values on these.

I am not particularly into Hemi's and both of these are Hemi powered so I don't have a clue. These are a hot rod/pro tour and a kit car.

Car 1 - 1968 Barracuda
Powered by a 2015 Hemi, about 450HP, Caged but street legal. Very clean and Pro Tour build. Fuel cell in trunk, computer controlled everything, digital dash, custom frame in front.

Car 2 - Kit Car
Impeccable paint. Powered by a 2014 Hemi, about 400HP, hand laid glass, won 5 trophies at the 2015 World of Wheels in NOLA. Hand welded frame and rear.

Supposedly the guy has low 40's in the Cuda and almost 50 in the kit car. Knows that he wont get all his cash out of the cars (like I am upside down on the value of the yacht at mid 60's).

Just trying to a: get a range of value and b: see what the consensus is on resale/desirability of the cars as opposed to the boat, which is a hard sell.

If you were going to pick one of the above and cash, which one would you pick any why?

Thoughts?

Rich

You betcha, without seeing the street rod, unless there's something wrong with it, I'd take that deal without hesitation.

Thanks for the input. I don't think I had one person here or whom I talked to that said the Cuda'.

Still boils down to, can you get enough out of the street rod to suit you. It does look good and show record doesnt hurt anything.

I would also agree and go with street rod as trade. There will be more interest later. I see in the picture of street rod they have the coil packs exposed on top of heads, I would spend a little money and conceal these on firewall or elsewhere. Todd

... If you can get the streetrod and $15,000 your way

... I would think you could make out fine... that is a nice streetrod

If it means completing the deal, I would take both cars. It’s hard to sell the boat
