Default garage lighting question

Looking for some input between LED & fluorescent lighting for a garage. New Garage is just about ready for lighting and I want some decent stuff. Thanks in advance.

Without question, LED. There's just no comparison. Go check out garagejournal.com for a ton of ideas and opinions on it.

I hate the traditional fluorescent tubes.

Every time one burns out you end up doing a statistically designed experiment to determine which tube has gone out or if the ballast needs to be replaced. Plus - disposal of the burned out tubes (or good tubes mistakenly determined to be burned out) is less than ideal.

Would not buy again.

I actually was over there just a little while ago and made my decision to go with LED. I ordered this morning from Bees Lighting. Now i'm pondering over ceiling fans or wall mounted fans I can direct or just a big ol floor fan..

I think that depends on your garage. You might need one or all...

Dave -- not sure how much room you have ... but check out Big Ass Fans. They work well moving air in large areas ... TAZ

It's actually Tommy that's looking for one. I just need a decent sized pedestal or floor fan for my garage. 30"x40" w/ 8' ceilings.

Thumbs up

Put two 4 ft LED lights on my 15ft ceiling in my 23x17 garage. Not that big but the lighting is perfect.

guy wiring everything up said I would probably need 10 lights so I got that and a couple extras but have a place for those if we don't use them. I also have an 8' ceiling so I have about decided the wall mount fans will be in the way. possibly a couple of flush mount ceiling fans but the floor fan may get the nod.
