Spare tire J hooks
I learned something today that for 69 there are 3 types of J hooks as per the assembly manual.
1 - coupe with standard spare 1 - convert with standard spare\ 1 - spacesaver convert anyone have a convert standard spare one that can provide a measurement of the overall length and the length of the treaded area, as well - same request for the spacesaver spare one. I believe that the orig coupe J hooks measure 9 1/4 in length and about 3 inches of thread and was black phosphate - the other 2 I would like to know the same info if possible. thanks guys for any help

Re: Spare tire J hooks
yea, obviously size matters :-)
im installing a space saver spare in a convert and discovered that the standard coupe (9.25 or 9.5 inch ) j-hook is too long,,,,not enough threads to tighen the base plate!
