Yep, .
Stock and Super Stock...factory steel...
Some guys knew some lightening tricks without the "acid" route......

After a few years, replacement sheet metal from Fisher Body used a gauge of sheet stock lesser than production line to stamp body panels......
Lottsa Stock /Super Stock cars 3-4 years old & older Did the Sheet Metal swaps.....

Late In 70 & Early 71 most Camaros wore glass panels in Pro Classes & M/P......by 72 most had only steel 1/4's , ribbibing & roofs. Partial tube frames, 100% back halved.. etc.

That's why Today, Authentic Early 2nd.Gen Race cars found after decades of hiding are Very Cut, Heavily Altered.. The Rules were as fast to change as the cars were.....
From. 11 seconds to the 9's. In less than 2 years.
