Default Turbonique rocket engines

Any body remember the old turbonique rockets. I was with a friend the other night and we started talking about all the turbonique stuff he has. He built a small Turbonique turbon motorcycle in the 70s. He then bought one of the big Turbon rockets brand new, after that he bought a rocket car called the Odessey that was a Turbonique powered turbon rail. The cool thing about the turbon cars they actually drove the rear wheels and were not thrust propelled. The final thing he did was build a 6000 hp rocket bike from scratch called The WARBIKE. He still owns all this stuff it just isnt talked about that much any more.

A friend in NC bought a Ford from the RJ Reynolds collection that had one. Holman and Moody installed it. Apparently when Zach Reynolds hit the button for the fist time he lost control of the car.
Here is a video of the car. Man - the 60's were cool!

I was bidding on that car at Mecum. The owner had to outbid me to buy it back. His son got on his case for selling a car he could never replace. Great car.

I watched Captain Jack McClure perform -- I think it was at PIR.

That Ford needs a handle -- I think it should be named "Pucker Factor" ... TAZ
