Default Are there rules posted somewhere?

As stated elsewhere, I'm new, and have already been schooled on a couple things, after it was too late to make changes, and also schooled when NOT warranted. So, is there somewhere to go to see rules? What about language? Sometimes, never....?
Thanks

FAQs

[/ QUOTE ]That's very vague. It doesn't answer language, or if you have to OWN a Supercar, or what exactly makes a Supercar, or if you can just be a fan of such......
Advise please

Nothing that formal. Just being a fan and having a good sense of humor are the only prerequisites.

Welcome

First off, welcome to the forum Groucho! Nice to have yet another fan of old muscle cars!! Everyone here does share that common passion!

I have never owned a supercar and I owned my last true muscle car 20 years ago. But I can't get enough of this website and the incredibly knowledgeable members. This is a great place to learn about muscle cars and find out who's found / restoring what.

I think in this forum common sense and respect prevail. This is absolutely one of the best forums on the web, bar none, due to the maturity and mutual respect of the members engaged in discussion.

I mentioned passion above and that is what sometimes causes friction. When two people who have an equal amount of zeal and passion for a subject have differing opinions an issue can arrise. I think at that juncture it is best to take a minute to realize that the reason we are all here is that we share a deep interest in these facinating old cars.

If you do indeed encounter and issue with anyone.. first PM them. There is no room for petty bickering out in the open. None at all, period.

If an understanding cannot be achieved.. bite your tounge, don't fire off a rant and get in contact with a moderator.

Once again, welcome and enjoy the forum!!

Now.... let's talk about bad a$$ old cars!!!

Maybe I can help here. Compared to the H.A.M.B. (which I love), the language here is more PG rated. Sometimes you'll see some questionable remarks but if you watch those posts you'll probably notice most of the members just shy away and let the thread die rather than encourage it. We have a few ladies here and try to respect them. Most of us tend to leave the garage language in the garage.

[/ QUOTE ] OK, thanks. As you know, I swear often to express how I feel, which is a bit difficult to do in type without it. But, I've been tossed off a couple boards in the past WITHOUT warning as to what they didn't like. So, is "any" tolerated?

Those seven words that George Carlin said you can't say on radio or TV....don't use them here either.
I have seen some people use the word $#@% and once *&^%, but that's about the extent of it. Aside from the ladies some of us have our children as members and frequent viewers.

My kid loves learning about cars here. If he needs more vocabulary he can watch cable TV or ride the school bus.
