I seem to remember the non clear coated red being code EP vermillion red, I was a painter in a ford dealership in the 90's. I liked that color so much I painted my Mailbu and my car trailer ford EP.

BTW...I did get pics of the car after ir was painted. I saw the owner also when he picked the car up. It is car 19, I did not talk too much with the owner of the car, but the owner's buddy insists that the correct paint was single stage.

He says this car and it's VIN are known and are listed in books that say it is single stage paint.

?????????????????????????????????????????????????? ??????

I will post some pics as soon as I get a chance.

Well, it could just be a typo in the registry. Wouldn't be the first time a typo caused some confusion.

Cool car either way. I'm glad it ended up with someone who appreciates it.
